    Available Lessons:
  • Free Stopping Lessons: At the Monday Night Skate, there is usually someone from the Skate Patrol before the skate (From 6:50 to 7:00 p.m.) who can help beginners.
  • Free lessons. Webmaster Bernie Scoville will participate in the Free Skating Lesson Program. Free lessons will be offered in 2003:
    • at 11:00 a.m. on the fourth Saturday of March (March 22) James and Janice prepare for March 22, 2003 Free Skating Lesson
    • at 11:00 a.m. on the fourth Saturday of May (May 24)
  • Specially priced $10 a person group lessons. Webmaster Bernie Scoville will offer these specially priced group lessons in 2003:
    • at 11:00 a.m. on the fourth Saturday of April (April 26)
    • at 11:00 a.m. on the fourth Saturday of June (June 28)

    Skates, pads, and helmets can be rented in Old Sacramento at the corner of Front and J Streets for $8.00 for the lessons or $10.00 for the weekend (a very special price).

    The lessons will start by the Pony Express Statue in Old Sacramento at 2nd and J Streets at 11:00 a.m.

    • Falling Safely
    • The Ready Position
    • The Duck Walk
    • Normal Striding and Gliding
    • The Heel Stop
    • The A Frame Turn
